WPE Scholarship Application

26/27 Winter PE Information

The Winter PE Scholarship Application deadline is TODAY 10.23. Please complete one form per student and return the form to me at jstewart@telluride.k12.co.us or return it to the Front Desk Admin at your school. Priority of scholarships is given to those who qualify for Free/Reduce Lunch. However, keep in mind that applying for a Winter PE Scholarship does not guarantee a scholarship.

TES - Tuesdays, beginning January 5th and ending February 2nd.

The majority of Winter PE information will come to you via the Friday messages that each specific school sends out. Please make sure you are receiving Friday messages and make sure you read them each week to ensure you have all the information you need. This is very important!

Winter PE Registration week is Nov. 9th - Nov. 13th. This means all Winter PE options will be open for registration at 8:00am, Nov. 9th and close at midnight on Nov. 13th. The only exception is the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club, which is currently open for registration. We are encouraging all students to complete registration for one of the Winter PE programs by Nov. 13th. I will send out a separate email with program information and registration links on Nov. 5th.

Telluride Elementary
  • Winter PE on Tuesdays
  • Programs include Telski Ski PE, TSSC (2nd grade) and Skart (Ah Haa and Ice Skating)
  • Prices for the programs range from $345 - $980

Winter PE Scholarship Fund needs YOU

Winter PE is only possible because of generous donations by our community members that give our students an opportunity to learn and play outside of school. We are expanding Winter PE Scholarships even further this year and would like to thank Scott Pearson, founder of Ski for All which pursues grant funding from local organizations to raise additional scholarship funds for our students.  We are thankful to the local businesses and our TSD families who contribute to Winter PE scholarships. We would also like to thank the Telluride Ski Resort for their donation of 20 lift passes to our scholarship students and the free ski/snowboard rentals for our Ski PE scholarship students.

The District is again seeking donations to provide scholarships to students whose families would not otherwise be able to cover the cost of the Winter PE program. The District’s goal is to provide our students the opportunity to enjoy the Winter PE program of their choice at a deeply discounted rate. To make a tax deductible donation, please write a check payable to Telluride School District and turn it into the front desk of your school, use this link, or the QR code above.

Please continue to read the Friday messages from your school for updated Winter PE information.

2026.27 Free/Reduced Lunch Applications

For the 2026-2027 School Year: Telluride School District will provide no-cost Breakfast and Lunch for all students. Research shows students perform better at school when they are not hungry. By providing Breakfast and Lunch to all no students at no cost, we better support their learning.

Although all students will receive no-cost meals, it's still important for households to provide their income information when requested. Gathering this information allows Telluride School District to receive the state and federal funding we qualify for. These funds go directly to schools to help cover the cost of meals and support after-school activities and other nutritional programs for students. Plus, qualifying households may be eligible for Summer EBT benefits, receive discounted school fees, class materials, bus passes, utilities support, and more. Providing household income information ensures you and your school receive all available financial support.
