January 23, 2026
hehe!

HAPPY FRIDAY

Hello TMHS Families. I want to thank you all for a great week, and I hope that you and your family have a wonderful weekend. Here's hoping we get lots of beautiful snow.

Huge thank you to TEF and Butcher and the Baker for dine out for public school day. I indulged in an oatmeal flax cookie with my latte and a beautiful salad for lunch. What a treat. We are looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for your continued support,
Mrs. Baize

Winter PE

Winter PE is going full board and it important to make sure that we remind everyone that Winter PE is counted the same as a class period, where attendance is taken and credit is given. We work very hard to have this privilege and many people have put in their time and effort to provide the school with quality Winter PE programs. Please remind your student to be prepared and on time for their program. Students are expected to behave in the Miner Way of respect, responsibility and integrity while participating in their Winter PE program. We appreciate your support with letting us know if your student will NOT be in attendance for any reason. Remember to email or call Kelly Youngstrom with all attendance.
Also, all ski gear enters thru the West end doors. This keeps accidents from occurring in the hallways, and doors and glass from being damaged by gear.

Note from TMHS Counselors

During the week of February 17-20th, the counseling department and San Miguel Resource Center are holding Teenage Love and Consent (TLC) Week at the high school. TLC Week is a student-initiated program that focuses on fostering healthy relationships and navigating consent.  We are hoping TLC Week builds protective factors in the form of respecting words and bodies. Liza with the San Miguel Resource Center will be giving age-appropriate lessons in all grade levels 9-12th throughout the week. We have been implementing these lessons through TLC week for many years now and we find that it, not only, gives the students valuable information about relationships but also allows them the opportunity to participate in discussions and ask questions in a comfortable, safe learning environment.  Yes, let’s just add a sentence:
If you would like to opt your child out of this programming please email skimble@telluride.k12.co.us
