It's January Folks!

TMHS Starts the year off with GENEROSITY!

We all know 2026 has had an unexpected start. At TMHS, we believe what truly matters is how we respond—and that’s something we can control. So let’s begin with generosity.
Generosity means giving freely—time, resources, or kindness—without expecting anything in return. It fosters connection and community, boosts happiness, health, and purpose for everyone. It builds stronger relationships. Its impact reaches far beyond a single act.

Cheers to more of that in 2026
-Mrs. Traci

Great Winter PE News!

We are planning to run a full week of the Winter PE schedule next week. After speaking with management at Telski, we expect that additional terrain will most likely be open by the start of the week. While terrain availability can change and we may need to adjust plans as late as Monday, this is the direction we are currently moving. We will also explore all options for adding an additional week once we have everyone on the mountain.

Quality of Life Survey

As we look ahead to 2026, we invite community members to participate in the Quality of Life Survey - Tri County Health Network. This community-wide mental health survey is a collaborative effort shared by Tri-County Health Network, the Katz Amsterdam Foundation, and other local partners. The confidential survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is open to anyone 18 or older. It is available in both English and Spanish, and responses will help guide the future of mental health services across our West Mountain Region.
We encourage you to complete the survey as soon as possible and to share it with local friends, family, and neighbors. Your participation is essential to helping us reach our goal of 700 responses. The survey closes on February 7.

Skippy Dental

Dear Parents,
We’re thrilled to share that this fall, Skippy Dental provided care to 160 students across our seven partner schools in Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, Norwood, and Nucla/Naturita.
At Tri-County Health Network, our Skippy team works year-round to secure funding so every child can receive high-quality dental care at no cost to their family. Even with insurance billing and grant support, the program still relies on our community to help cover the full cost of our clinics.
Would you consider making a donation to support Skippy Dental?
Your contribution, of any amount, helps ensure that all children in our region have access to the dental care they need. Thank you for supporting healthy smiles in our communities!

About Tri-County Health Network and Skippy
Tri-County Health Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, launched Skippy Dental more than a decade ago in response to the urgent need for better access to dental care in our rural communities. For many children, a Skippy clinic visit is their very first trip to the dentist. Our team ensures they leave not only with cleaner teeth, but with the knowledge and confidence to care for their oral health well into the future.
For parents, Skippy means they don’t have to miss a full day of work traveling to the nearest dentist—or face the high cost of a routine visit. It’s convenient, accessible, and makes a real difference for local families.
Skippy Dental has been a lifesaver for my family. The kids do not have to miss a whole day of school, and I do not have to miss work. My kids love the dentists who come to school and look forward to seeing them. We couldn‘t recommend Skippy Dental enough” – Alisha, Ridgway
Please help us keep this vital community service thriving.
Thank you for your generous support!
