TMHS Weekly Email

Well hello there Winter, glad you decided to arrive!!

December 5, 2025
slippery winter

Happy December/Winter/Snow season/ and Mountain Opening!

Hello amazing parents! I hope that you had a blessed and safe Thanksgiving break and that December is treating you well. As you know this month is always crammed full and super busy. Please keep note of the items in this email to make sure you and your students are ready and informed.

Message from Principal Kimble

On behalf of the teaching staff at TMHS I would like to request that you limit your travel to school breaks. I do understand that unanticipated travel comes up and there are special circumstances, but we would love your students at school! When students miss school due to travel it creates additional work for our hard-working teachers. They will do everything they can to help your children be successful but when they have to reteach due to travel it creates an impossible workload. Please note that when students have unexcused absences (travel is considered unexcused) they do not receive extra time to make up work, they must return with the work completed. If a student completes a pre-arranged absence form that does not excuse an absence, it provides notice to the teachers and the office.

Please note that if you are missing school for travel you need to send communication to myself and Kelly Youngstrom. Students may not leave early for Winter Break, if they miss exams those will be taken in January during Winter PE.

Thank you for respecting our attendance policy, the workload of our teachers and the school calendar.

-Sara Kimble, TMHS Principal

Exams Start Dec. 16th

We have 6 days of instruction and then we follow an exam schedule HERE. Students may not take exams early and must take them during the scheduled time. If a student is not present we have a make up exam slot on the 19th or then can take them when we return in January.

Students are REQUIRED to be in tutorial during exam week if the have a U, D, F in an upcoming exam.

If a teacher is accepting late work it should be turned in by Friday, December 12th.

Please note: We have after school tutoring on Monday and Thursday in the library with Mr. I on Monday and Ms. Rosen on Thursday. In addition, True North hosts tutoring on Wednesday. We strongly encourage students to attend to be prepared for exams.

Holiday Gift Cards for Staff

Every year, I collect gift cards for TMHS staff to give out in a drawing. I am hoping to collect 50 gift cards from various places around town. They do not need to be extravagant. If you can make a donation I would greatly appreciate it. Please drop off at the front desk with Traci Baize.

Thank you,
Sara Kimble

Safety Message from Superintendent, John Pandolfo

When dropping off your students in the morning, please do not stop at the traffic circle or along West Colorado to let students out of your car. This creates a safety issue and also slows down traffic. Thank you!
