TSD Community:
I know the past 24 hours you have received a lot of communication from the school district that may have brought up many emotions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your building principals with any questions. We are fully committed to supporting your children and families every step of the way. At this time, I felt it was important to provide an update on the family who lost their home in the fire on Tuesday as there is much still needed to support them
This community has responded with an outpouring of support. We have had financial donations from $10 to $2500 and every amount counts! It has added up to $10,000 thus far, our goal is 30k. We have been able to secure temporary housing and are still looking for long term housing. We have had community businesses step up in so many ways I am beyond grateful to live here. We received so many clothing donations; the family is beyond appreciative.
Our efforts are not done; we are shifting our fundraising to a go fund me, the link is here: https://gofund.me/d1fd64a4
Monetary donations will assist with purchasing household essentials, clothing items not covered by donations, and costs related to securing a new rental home. Funds raised will be carefully managed with oversight and support to ensure they are used effectively to help this amazing family get back on their feet. Any support is greatly appreciated in this time of need.
Thank you again for your generosity and support for this family.
Much appreciated,
Sara Kimble
TMHS Principal
